Privacy Policy

Rosejob is a job-matching service, operated by Rosejob LLC, 278 Cedar Ln SE #4029, Vienna, VA 22180, USA. In this policy “we” and “us” mean Rosejob LLC, the controller responsible for your personal data. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, the legal bases we rely on, how long we keep it, who processes it, and the choices you have — including how to delete your account and all associated data at any time. • Your résumé — the file and/or text you upload, and the profile we extract from it (roles, skills, seniority, years of experience, location, salary expectations, work authorization).
• Account data — the email address from your Google or Apple sign-in, and your subscription status.
• Activity — the jobs we show you, your swipes (save/pass), saved jobs, and tailored résumés you generate.
• Technical data — basic device/app diagnostics and crash reports used to keep the app working.
• Notifications — if you turn on push notifications, a device push token so we can send the alerts you enabled (such as a daily “hot match”). Turn them off any time and we stop.

Your résumé can include your work authorization or citizenship / immigration status, which we extract so we can filter to roles you’re eligible for and pre-fill application answers you ask us to. Some laws treat this as sensitive personal information (and it may reveal special-category data such as national origin). We use it only for eligibility matching and answers you request — never to profile, target, or discriminate — and we never sell or share it. You can review or remove it on the “Here’s what we found” screen, or delete it entirely with your résumé.

• To match you to relevant, fresh job openings and explain why each fits, and to tailor your résumé and power the skill tutor when you use those features — to perform our contract with you.
• To operate your account, subscription, and billing — to perform our contract and meet legal/tax obligations.
• To fix bugs, keep the service secure, and improve matching quality — our legitimate interests in running and improving Rosejob.
• To process work-authorization data, send any push notifications you turn on, and (where required) optional usage analytics — with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• AI providers — Anthropic and Google (Gemini API / Vertex AI) — to extract your profile from your résumé, rank matches, and generate tailored résumés / courses. Your data is sent only for processing under their enterprise API terms and is not used to train their models.
• Google Identity Platform / Firebase & Apple — sign-in and authentication.
• Payments & subscriptions — Stripe (on the web) and, for in-app purchases, the Apple App Store and Google Play, with RevenueCat managing your subscription status across platforms. We never see or store your card number.
• Email — Resend — to send account/transactional emails and, if you opt in, digest emails, and to process bounces and complaints.
• Push notifications — Expo (and Apple APNs / Google FCM) — to deliver the notifications you enable.
• Cloud hosting (Google Cloud) — to run the service and store your data.

On the web we use strictly-necessary cookies for sign-in and security; we do not use advertising cookies. In the app, usage analytics is optional — turn it off any time under Profile → Privacy & data → Anonymous usage analytics, and we collect no analytics events while it’s off. If you enable push notifications, we use your device push token to send only the alerts you turned on; turn them off any time in your device settings (or in the app) and we stop. We do not sell or share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We are based in the United States, and the processors listed above may process your data in the US and other countries. If you use Rosejob from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the US and safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses (or another approved mechanism) in our agreements with those processors. Contact us for a copy.

We keep your profile and activity while your account is active so matching works across sessions. When you delete your account (see below), we permanently erase your profile, résumé file, matches, swipes, saved jobs, tailored résumés, and usage records within 30 days. Crash and diagnostic logs are kept for up to 90 days. We may delete accounts that have been inactive for more than 24 months after emailing you first. Saved jobs are removed once the posting closes.

• Delete everything — in the app, go to Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data and cannot be undone.
• Access & portability — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, in a portable format.
• Correct — review and adjust what we extracted on the “Here’s what we found” screen, or ask us to fix anything else.
• Opt out — turn off usage analytics in the app; we never sell or share your data for advertising.
• Cancel — manage or cancel your subscription any time from your account page.
• Depending on where you live — for example the EEA/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA) — you have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and port your data, to opt out of sale/sharing, and to non-discrimination for exercising them. To exercise any right, email privacy@rosejob.com; EEA/UK users may also complain to their local data-protection authority.

Data is encrypted in transit and stored on managed cloud infrastructure with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Rosejob is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
